Solange Knowles: ‘I won’t be giving Beyoncé parenting advice’

For all the parents… Don’t you just hate when someone who has one child think they know everything there is to know about parenting? From a diaper rash to teething they know all the home remedies and has every suggestion under the sun of what you need to be doing with your child? Well we can guartnee that little sis, Solange is not going to be offering her #2cents to big sister Beyonce when it come to Blue Ivy…

Solange Knowles has said that she won’t be giving Beyoncé parenting advice. The successful singer’s younger sister admitted that being told what to do by other parents isn’t the best introduction to motherhood. She said: “I think it’s really important for every mother to find their own way. I think it’s actually the most annoying thing when you’re a new mom and you’re getting so much advice from other mothers! “You really just have to feel it out for yourself. But she’s my best friend and we talk at least every other day.” During an interview with Rollacoaster magazine, the 25-year-old revealed how becoming an aunt to the 30-year-old’s daughter Blue Ivy is like having a second child in one way. The star, who has a 7-year-old son, said: “It’s very different to being a mother, but there’s still that sort of magnetic bond and love that you can’t even put words on to describe. “I think babies in general are so lovable – and my sister’s baby, Blue, is so beautiful. She is really a beautiful little baby. It’s really special to have a niece because I have a son, so I get to have a little girl too.” Despite being proud of her superstar relative, Solange, who has made a bid for singing stardom in the past, said that she doesn’t envy her sister’s scale of fame. “She was and is such a role model, but I think more so it was an insane learning process for me to have a big sister like that – to be able to see the good, the bad and everything in between that comes with fame and success, and to know what I was getting myself into.” She added: “I really enjoy my privacy and being able to walk my son to school every morning and pick him up every afternoon.”
