In case you missed it, this past week was Beauty Week on Tha Afterparty Radio and we had a very special guest on air. Angela Stevens from WE TV‘s L.A. Hair gave us a REAL candid interview and cleared up quite a few things on how she has been portrayed on the show thus far.
The biggest misconception of her has been that she is not grateful for the opportunity she has been given and when asked about that, here’s what she had to say:
I’m definitely grateful for the opportunity but you know the show kinda has a picture painted of me that number one, I don’t deserve to be where I’m at and I just wanna let the record show that I did not know any of these people when I got hired there. I got hired purely off my talent, my presentation and my professionalism so there is obviously a reason why I work there and I wanna make sure that people understand that.
Number two, I’m very grateful for the opportunity that I’ve been given but once you get to a certain position you wanna make sure that you’re not being taken advantage of as well. You know sometimes you get so greedy and excited about working in a place and then you get there and it might not be as amazing as you imagine it to be.
You know I, uh, not to say that it’s not amazing but there are certain things I believe in as far as people wanting you to grow genuinely based upon your work ethic and what you put out there and that’s not what I’ve been receiving.
Now that I can understand!
